Each room at The Leo Cottage is unique and special in its own way, and the Master Bedroom is the perfect example of just that. The fresh feel of this grand room combined with an abundance of pastel hues and antique finds makes this one of-a-kind design stand out from the rest!
What used to be a living room in the pre-renovated cottage is now the ultimate Master getaway filled with a perfectly curated collection of accessories, artwork, and unexpected patterns like the Mela & Roam Dohar Blanket at the foot of the bed!
Ultimately the bones of this airy room were so great, we really wanted to try to maintain as much of it as possible. The beams were, and still are, one of the most eye-catching parts of the Master and although they could stand as a statement alone we felt that adding in a beaded light fixture would elevate the room that much more, giving it the romantic and charming feel it deserves while also highlighting the tall ceilings.
If we could pick the one thing that we loved most about this room it would have to be the old wood burning fireplace. To our surprise this was not the only one existing throughout the house, there are actually a total of two — lucky us!
Along with the fireplace we loved the existing open shelving, and knew we had to use them to our advantage. A quick coat of Benjamin Moore’s Wrought Iron added depth and drama into the back of the shelves, contrasting with the fresh white. We placed an antique mint green freestanding tub in between the two shelves and gave The Leo Cottage another one of it’s quirky features!
Along with a freestanding tub, the Master Bedroom has it’s own Powder Room right off of the entrance. Covered in Relativity Textiles Arabian Nights wallpaper head to toe, this bold half-bath stands as a room on its own!
